Month 2: This is SO not Esther's Life

I'm just over a month into this project, and I've noticed a few very distinct differences between myself and Esther.
1. Age - a girl who is a "beautiful young virgin" is an easier canvas than someone who is trying to get herself together in time for her 30th birthday.
2. Responsibilities - I have a husband, two children, an apartment, and a Bible study to lead. Esther's job was "six months with oil of myrrh and six with perfumes and cosmetics." (a subset to this point is "stress" because, come on, a year of pampering surely can't carry the same stress as, you know, LIFE.)
3. Time - for instance, I should be taking a nap right now, because I didn't get much sleep last night, because both boys are sick (again). Let me refer you back to the "responsibilities" point.
4. Money - but this is pretty far down the list. I don't have access to the best beauty treatments in all the land, and at this juncture I don't have the time to make my own.
5. Motivation - I've already got my man...and bummer for him, he's stuck with me.

I'm going to go take that nap, and hope that my mind, body, and attitude all wake up at least a tad more beautiful.
